Rural Health Education Program

This project developed, and subsequently broadcast, four continence awareness education sessions for health professionals within rural and regional Australia.  Access to the programs was provided for twelve months via a website. Flyers, emails and evaluation forms were also produced for the program series.

The rural health education project was successful in providing a conduit for improving the knowledge of rural and remote health and aged care workers.  It was estimated that 50,000 individuals were reached by the program series, including those who ordered the free videos produced.

All of the project objectives were met, with 98.6% of viewer responses reporting that the 21 learning objectives were met, and 93% of viewers indicating that the programs had "significant" or "some" influence over their heath care practice.

Over 10,000 copies of the videos were made available to health professionals free of charge through the NCMS.
