Healthier as a Lion

The Healthier as a Lion project was a continuation of an initiative designed as an education program for mainly older men as an aid to help them understand issues relating to incontinence and prostate health and the impact of these as men age. The main aim of the project was to develop and pilot a teaching model - using humour, the provision of information, peer education and discussion, as the key elements in a preventative, practical and holistic approach - to educate men about their urological health.

The project was an extension of an initiative originally developed in 2001 by a Health Professional and Education Consultant and the Lions Club of Canberra City titled 'Healthy as a Lion'
