Continence Aids Assistance Scheme (CAAS)

Continence Aids Assistance Scheme

Commencing 1 July 2010, the Continence Aids Assistance Scheme (CAAS) will cease and will be replaced by the Continence Aids Payment Scheme (CAPS). For more information about the CAPS please see the tab Continence Aids Payment Scheme (CAPS) on the bladder bowel website homepage.

Existing eligible CAAS clients will be transferred to the CAPS without the need to complete a new CAPS application form. Medicare Australia has written to existing CAAS clients and invited them to transfer to the CAPS.

If you joined the CAAS between 1 April and 30 June 2010, Medicare Australia have not yet written to you and will be contacting you during August 2010 to invite you to transfer to the CAPS.

All CAAS clients transferring to the CAPS will receive the full payment amount of $497.79 thereafter.

Clients who are following up on any outstanding CAAS applications or a recent CAAS order for products, should contact Intouch on the CAAS Helpline 1300 366 455. Please note that the CAAS Helpline will cease from 31 August 2010.
