Toilet training
Learning to use the toilet is a big step for a child. Some children just seem to train themselves when they are ready, but many need some help from their parents.
Children can start toilet training from the age of two. However, it is best to let children start training when they are ready. Many problems during toilet training happen when training is started too early.
More help on how to toilet train your child can be found at Children, Youth and Women's Health Service Website of the South Australian Government.
You can order the Are You Ready? toilet training kit, a joint initiative between Disability Services SA and Minda Inc, to assist with toilet training a child with disabilities.
